Things to do,
Mount Tamborine
In
the morning you will be woken by the beautiful song of
our butcher birds and probably joined for your leisurely
breakfast by Portia our St Bernard Dog. With most mountain
attractions open from 10am to 4pm there is plenty of time
to take in a taste of what the Mountain has to offer.
If you have come away for a themed escape…..possibly
wine, culinary, romantic, therapeutic, cheese making,
bird watching, bush walking or simply just to escape for
its own sake then the day can start as early or as late
as you desire. Wine tours, restaurants, massages and treatments
can all be booked in advance and at a time to suit you.
Mount Tamborine is renowned for its quaint boutique and
craft shops, galleries, markets, nurseries, award winning
restaurants, cafes, 9 local wineries, local distillery,
cheese and ice cream factory PLUS it is a flora and fauna
sanctuary enabling unrestricted meditative enjoyment of
walks and wildlife including fabulous opportunities for
bird watching.
You can also enjoy golf, horse riding, hang gliding, paragliding
and high ropes adventure. On the second Sunday of every
month the local show ground (only 500 metres from Camelot)
becomes alive with a busy country market with something
for everyone’s taste. On the last Sunday of the
month, the local market is well worth a visit to search
out that country bargain.
One day and one night on Mount Tamborine is never enough!
